Selebo härads område omfattar bland annat Södermanlands läns nordöstligaste halvöar och öar i Mälaren. Området består av trakterna kring Gripsholmsviken i sydöst samt av öriket i nordväst med bl.a. Selaön, Aspö, Ridön samt delar av Tosterön. Landskapet består av ett småkuperat slättlandskapet uppdelat av skogbevuxna bergshöjder, vikar och sund längs gnejsberggrundens spricklinjer och förkastningar. Området genomkorsas av Enköpingsåsen. I väster gränsar häradsområdet mot Åkers härad, i sydväst mot Daga härad samt i sydost mot Öknebo härad. Längst i öster ligger Färentuna härad i Stockholms län. I nordost ligger Trögds härad och i norr Åsunda härad, båda i Uppsala län. Selebo härad omgärdade helt Mariefred stads. Största tätort är numera Stallarholmen belägen 16 km öster om Strängnäs

Karl Dansson cedes to the canon of Strängnäs Ingevald Magnusson 4 ertugland of land in Berga in Toresund parish (Selabo district) on the condition that these would accrue to him, if the former before the next Martinidag was not able to dedicate to him 4 ertugland in Stensta in Ytterjärna parish (Öknebo district ). Two victuals and 12 fasts are enumerated.
I present to all the letters of Inspector Charles Dansson eternal greetings in the Lord. By the present letters I publicly acknowledge that I have released to the honorable and discreet lord Ingiualdo Magnusson, a canon of Strengen, my estates, namely, four solids of land in the town of Berghom, in the parish of Thorsn, near the estates of the church situated in the same town, duly and reasonably under such conditions: if the same lord Ingiualdo below the feast of blessed Martin, four solids of land in the town of Stenstum, in the parish of Gerna, in compensation for the same solids according to the laws of the land and I am unable to give and appropriate the approved custom, from that time excluding all conditions and precautions the same estates in Berghom, as it was promised, together with each and every one of the adjoining estates, in whatever way named, they should cede to themselves and their heirs by right forever and irrevocably according to their will, as to me and to my heirs, friends, and relatives, every opportunity to interfere with the aforesaid possessions, or any of them, by any right or ability, shall be removed. In testimony of which these are the witnesses: lord Laurencius Vlpsson, legifer Sudurmannie, Gyøstauus Birgirzson, these are indeed the proud lord Egardus, lord Arnuidus the soldiers, Magnus Ingiualsson, Byrgerus Holmgerzson, Holmgerus Joanson, Olaus Joanson, Benedictus Boson, Nicholaus Folchason, Johannes Olapsson, Elauus Magnusson, Thorstanus Jacobsson, Petrus Andrisson, whose seals I shall mention I ask to be placed with my own present. Given in Stringens in the year of the Lord m°ccc°l° in commemoration of the blessed Paul the apostle.
