Chamber Master, Knight, Council of Ministers, by the Swedish Biographical Dictionary

Ture Kettilsson (Bielke) is mentioned for the first time on July 13, 1283 as a participant in the Grand Meeting, which Magnus Ladulås convened in Hälgö, and was already a knight. Three years later (May 22, 1286) he proved a new such meeting in Stockholm; first Sept 11 In 1288, however, he is explicitly referred to as the Council of Ministers. After King Magnus' death, he took part in the guardianship of the young Birger Magnusson. Since Birger himself took over the government, T. appears to have been in favor of him for a long time to come. He thus became (most recently 1310) the king's chamberlain (camerarius) - one of the first with this title in our claims - and in letters of 1313 and 1315 he also appears as a layman in Tiohärad's (Värends) law. It seems, however, as if lately a breakup has occurred between the king and his confidant; perhaps T. has finally approached the ducal party, in whose direction his eldest son Erik(see below 2) were. In any event, some time before his fall, King Birger occupied the chamberlain's office with another person, Peder Andersson, who is his camerarius Feb. 27. 1318. Even from the team's order, T. was discharged, probably already during Birger's reign: in 1319 Tuke Jonsson is a layman in Tiohärad. T. participated in the young Magnus Erikssonselection to king July 8, 1319 and then diligently attended the council meetings during the new regime in the years 1320-22. In the latter year he entered the Grand Confederate Confederation in Skara (July 20) directed against the widow of Ingeborg (July 20), but then his name disappears from the sources, and in 1327 he is mentioned as dead. - Where T. had his seat, is completely unknown, but as he seals on several occasions issued in Kalmar, it is not excluded that he already owned Kråkerum, which in any case in 1343 seems to have been in the family's possession and in 1350, according to judgment, was inhabited by T's son Drotsen Nils Turesson(see below 4). T's wife was called Sigrid and survived him. According to the old genealogist Utter, who had seen one of her sealed, now lost letter of the year 1327, she carried a spar in the gun; the task can possibly be regarded as confirmed by the fact that T's sons were evidently related to Ulf Abjörnsson (sparrow) known to King Magnus Eriksson's time.
